Today, at the Boiling Point site of the Gagarin State Technical University, a discussion of business opportunities that are available on the territory of the Saratov special Economic zone “Almaz” took place. (How to become a resident?)”, organized by the Ministry of Economic Development of the Saratov region.
The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Industry of the region, the Ministry of Health of the region, the Ministry of Digital Development of the region, the Committee on Tourism of the region, the Union “Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Saratov Region”, SRO “OPORA Russia”, the scientific and business community, as well as heads of small enterprises at the Gagarin State Technical University.
Olga Yakusheva, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Region, made an introductory speech: “The Special Economic Zone, which appeared in our region in May last year, is primarily a center of unique competencies, where innovative solutions are developed and implemented due to the advantages provided to residents.”
Among the preferences of the zone are: exemption from property and transport tax for 10 years, income tax (in the part credited to the region) and land tax for 5 years; availability of accessible infrastructure; the possibility of using the procedure of free customs regulation.
“It should be noted that the residents of the SEZ are not limited in using other measures to support business, and today a number of development institutes has been created in the region that successfully provides support to business entities, including: The Development Corporation, the regional Industrial Development Fund, the Guarantee Fund for Small Businesses, the Micro-credit Fund for Small Businesses, the Export Support Center, ” Olga Yakusheva stressed.
Currently, the SEZ resident is JSC “NPP Almaz”, which is implementing an investment project to create a domestic production of innovative products in the field of space exploration and integrated security systems for infrastructure facilities. In the near future, JSC “NPP “Contact” and LLC “Infotech Balakovo” are planning to obtain the status of a resident.
In an interactive format, potential residents were told about the stages of joining the SEZ “Almaz” and obtaining the status of a resident.
Also, within the framework of the event, a presentation of student startup projects was held, including the development of an automated system for diagnosing fungal diseases using artificial intelligence methods and tourist navigation system in the Saratov agglomeration.
